AerialOGI Launches Modular Dual-Purpose OGI Camera

LDAR inspection teams have long been forced into an expensive compromise — one camera for handheld inspections and a second for aerial missions. This meant doubling equipment investments, managing separate calibration processes, and increasing labor costs. With the launch of the AerialOGI-N, unveiled at AUVSI XPONENTIAL 2025, that inefficiency is over. Now, a single camera can seamlessly handle both aerial and handheld OGI inspections, reducing equipment costs by more than two-thirds and lowering labor requirements without sacrificing performance.
The Technology
Built on the Teledyne FLIR Neutrino LC OGI core, the AerialOGI-N delivers <20 mK sensitivity in binning mode, with 640×512 resolution at up to 60 frames per second. The cameras system was developed and tested to comply with EPA OOOOa, OOOOb, OOOOc and Appendix K, ensuring suitability for regulatory LDAR work.
Platform Compatibility
At launch the AerialOGI-N can be configured for use on the following aircraft:
DJI Matrice 350 RTK
Arcsky X55
Freefly Astro
Operational Impact
Instead of sending multiple crews with separate systems, operators can now cover large sites by air, then dismount for up-close inspection — all with the same sensor, same calibration, and consistent data sets.
Industry Reception
The launch at AUVSI XPONENTIAL 2025 drew attention from UAV, energy, and environmental compliance sectors. Teledyne FLIR’s own announcement called it “a milestone in dual-use OGI design.”
